It is a privilege for me to be part of the Suncrest Community. I am excited to work side by side with the amazing faculty of the School. I am very impressed with the support of our community and their care for our children’s education
I want to support our school professionals and community to help our students acquire the essential knowledge, skills and dispositions to become lifelong, active participants in their own education, develop a sense of self and community, and become responsible and compassionate members of society.
As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I believe that “the function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. But education which stops with efficiency may prove the greatest menace to society. The most dangerous criminal may be the man gifted with reason but no morals… We must remember that intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character -that is the goal of true education” (Martin Luther King Jr., Speech at Morehouse College, 1948). I believe that education is a social process that is enhanced through interpersonal skills such as collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, communication, character, and citizenship.
